WhatsApp cool tricks and hidden feature

WhatsApp Inc., based in Mountain View, California , which was acquired by Facebook in February 2014 for approximately US$19.3 billion. In May 2014, whatsApp crossed 50 million active users in india and now in February 2017, it has over 200 million active users in India which is increasing day by day. WhatsApp have been a go to messaging app for many of you including me so here are some cool tricks i have came across which are interesting as well as useful and can be life saving for some of you..

1).WhatsApp delete or unsend message feature 

        The feature requested by most of the folks is here now finally you can delete your sent message while using Whatsapp though this is not a new feature, messaging app like Instagram already had this feature in their direct message service. You just have to download the latest version of WhatsApp to use this feature..

Step to delete message

• Open WhatsApp
• Open the chat you want to delete message from
• Long press the message, select multiple messages to delete at once 
• Tap on  delete icon from the menu at the top
• From the option select 'Delete For All'

That's all you have deleted the message successful, though this feature helps you to delete message but the person you have sent the message can see that you have deleted some messages as you can see in the (picture num. 2) 

Also there are also certain different criteria to use this feature successfully which are as follows:-

1).You can only delete messages for up to seven minutes after sending. Once that time window has passed, you’ll be stuck – so make up your mind quickly.

2). You’ll need to ensure that both you and your recipient(s) are using the latest version of WhatsApp, whether it be on Android, iPhone or Windows Phone. If they’re not up to date, the feature won’t be supported. You’ll be notified if deleting for everyone wasn’t successful.

3).And of course, it’s always entirely possible that the person(s) who you messaged will still see your message before you get a chance to delete it. A pop-up notification could scupper your plans entirely.

       But still it's a nice feature to have to delete some typo error or to some unintentional mistake and it can be a life savour..

2).WhatsApp font and formated text

This feature has been there for many years now 

You just have to type your message between two star sign to convert into a bold text...

*Your message*  :-  It would look like a Bold format text when you send it to anyone, also you can get bold format text by long pressing the message and from the menu at the top selecting the Bold icon

You just have to type your message between two  under scroll sign to convert into a Italian text...

_Your message_  :-  It would look like a Italian format text when you send it, also you can change the format to Italian just by long pressing your text message and from the menu at the top selecting the Italian icon

You just have to type your message between two tildes to get a strike mark
~Your message~ :- You can see the strike mark over the text

You can also change the font of your WhatsApp message just writing by writing your message between these sign :-  ` `` `

` ` `  Your message` `` `  :- This would change the font of your text though this doesn't have any extra functionality but it can catch people off-guard

3).WhatsApp widget

We all have a weird pressure of replying to someone message when we see their message because of the blue tick mark.. but there is a way so that you can others message and guess what without getting the blue tick
There are many third party app which does the same work but this feature of WhatsApp is built in..

Steps

• Long press on the home page of your smartphone
• Go to the widget section
• Press and hold, then place your WhatsApp widget

Now you can successfully see others messaging and they wouldn't be able to find out wether you have seen their message or not

4).WhatsApp Live location share

This feature is very useful feature and its new now you can share your live location with people close to you this only benefits you because they can track your real location by this..
Live location shares will show up in WhatsApp chats as thumbnails that show the initial location of the user and a ‘Live until’ time. Tapping ‘View live location’ will take you to a map view where you can see the current location of all the users who are presently sharing their location in that chat. You can switch to a Satellite/ Terrain view of the map if you desire, and even see live traffic data as an overlay, which sounds pretty convenient if you are waiting for someone.

Steps

• Just tap on the attach icon
• Location>  Share live location
• Select the time period you want to share your location for
• Click send

Note:- 

1).You can send or share your live location for short time period, maximum of 8 hrs, minimum for 15 mins and the default is 1hr.

2). You share your live location to a specific person or a WhatsApp group

3). You can select one time static location if you prefer

5).WhatsApp message count

Want to know how many messages you have send using Whatsapp or how many messages you have received. Yes WhatsApp count's it all for you..

• Go to settings
• Data usage > network usage

You can see all the stats how many messages you have send and received, how much data you have used for WhatsApp call and how many status update you have received

6).WhatsApp GIFs

Though many of us don't use GIF but you can create your own GIF just open up the WhatsApp camera and shoot a video of 6 sec or less than that and your video would automatically get converted into GIF. Also GIF doesn't take much data to load and auto-replays another neat feature to have..
